International Television “Nutcracker” Contest in Moscow

I had an amazing adventure traveling to Moscow, Russia, for TV Kultura’s 16th International “Nutcracker” Competition for Young Musicians! This was my first time ever seeing Moscow (or being in Russia), and the sights were unbelievable –especially the Red Square. It was great fun performing in the television format of the competition.

I once again performed chamber music with the amazing musicians of Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players. This time, I was especially excited to perform with the virtuoso trumpet player Caleb Hudson, who is a member of the Canadian Brass Quintet!

I just came back from Bad Kissingen in Germany, where I performed two concerts at the Kissinger KlavierOlymp and performed for a broadcast on Bavarian Radio. Luckily I am invited back to perform chamber music at the Kissinger Sommer Festival this summer, so I will have a chance to return!

This month I was lucky enough to perform twice with the Midwest Young Artists Orchestra –at Ravinia Festival and at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park as part of the The Grant Park Summer Classical Concert Series. The concerts were a part of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation’s Summer Music Summit.

I went to Munich, where I had the fantastic opportunity to attend Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy’s Masterclasses at the University of Music and Performing Arts, and Bonn, where I gave a short concert and visited the Beethoven House (where he was actually born)!

Another 16 Concerts at Oyster Bay Music Festival

I love this festival because I get to spend time acting crazy with some of my best friends, play great music and, of course, perform non-stop. I think I performed in a total of 16 concerts in 8 days, in unusual venues all over Oyster Bay, New York!

Forte Music Fest in Almaty, Kazakhstan!

Cleveland International Piano Competition

Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition

This has been my first year at the Juilliard Pre-College and I am feeling so incredibly lucky for this opportunity!!! On February 21st I will be performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A Minor with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra.

We had great fun performing Fazil Say’s jazzy arrangement of Mozart ‘s Rondo Alla Turca on the radio. I also played some solo Prokofiev and did a short interview with the host. I listen to WQXR almost every day of my life, so it felt really amazing being at the WQXR Greene Space for a live broadcast!

The Best Experience in Italy

I just spent two weeks at the most amazing music festival in Italy called Music Fest Perugia. One of the highlights was performing in a special “Prodigy Concert” with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante at the famed Basilica di San Pietro.
