Checking hand size in MunichI had the fantastic opportunity to attend Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy’s Masterclasses at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. I learned so much each day from the masterclasses, had a chance to see two very good friends that I had met in Barcelona earlier in the year, and made new friends with the other pianists (there were 12 of us in total, most from different countries).

The experience was inspiring and I really hope I will have the opportunity to attend many more of his classes. At the end of the week we all performed a concert at Piano Fischer, and Mr. Fischer treated us to wonderful traditional Bavarian dinner.

After Munich, I traveled to Bonn and gave a short concert the Center for Advanced European Studies and Research (Max Planck), where my grandfather (a scientist) was also giving a lecture. The concert was great fun, and afterwards we were taken to a dinner with a truly spectacular view. I visited the Beethoven House (where Beethoven was born!), but unfortunately ran out of time to visit Schumannhaus or the Old Cemetery where Schumann is resting.
