For the past seven years I have performed in countless events for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation – each one with its own special ambience, stunning location, celebrities, fantastic food, and always the most meaningful emphasis on music making. This was a fun program for the LLIMF’s own Concert Series at Steinway Hall, hosted by the one and only Alec Baldwin (the first time I performed on a program he hosted was when I was 12 years old at the United Nations), and written up by The Jewish Voice and Taki’s “Why 2019 has been a wonderful year” in The Spectator. A fantastic dinner followed the event.

It is always a blast to perform for this organization that is so close to my heart! The Lang Lang International Music Foundation offers tremendous support to a number of young musicians like me, but I think even more importantly it opens the world of piano and music to children who might not have the opportunity for private lessons or even a beginning introduction to music. LLIMF’s Keys of Inspiration program provides a “musical intervention” of sorts, a specially designed piano and music curriculum, focused on selected schools nationwide with limited resources. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/why-2019-has-been-a-wonderful-year “Maxim Lando performed a variation of Bizet’s Carmen by Vladimir Horowitz that left the audience stunned by its virtuosity. Alec Baldwin told me that he has often been disappointed after a movie and even a play, but never after a concert. How true.”
