I once again performed chamber music with the amazing musicians of Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players. I performed the beautiful and rarely played Saint-Saens Piano Quartet nº 1 (which he wrote when he was 18), and works by Gluck and Tartini. I was especially excited to perform with the virtuoso trumpet player Caleb Hudson, who is a member of the Canadian Brass Quintet!
I always feel so lucky to perform on this series. In a way, I feel like Jupiter is partially responsible for how important music has become to me. When I was six years old, this series took a leap of faith and invited me to perform a chamber work with my dad (it was a Mozart Sonata for violin and piano, which my dad, Vadim Lando, arranged for clarinet and piano) –this performance inspired me so much, as did the invitations to return for more music making each year! Encouragement is a very powerful force!
