Towards the end of August, I was lucky enough to perform twice with the Midwest Young Artists Orchestra –once at Ravinia Festival, and a second time at the at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park as part of the The Grant Park Summer Classical Concert Series.
The concerts were a part of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation’s Summer Music Summit, and involved concerto performances and chamber music with the fantastic Midwest Young Artists. I honestly had the best time ever! The music making was wonderful, and the friendships we made feel like they will last forever.
I am so thankful to my amazing host family (including my good friend and fellow pianist, Kimberly), the amazing Midwest Young Artists (especially the members of my awesome chamber group), Conductor Dr. Allan Dennis (who wisely helped me negotiate tempos), the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, and my fellow Young Scholars –who are all great friends!
