It was completely amazing performing Prokofiev’s 2nd Piano Concerto in the Grand Hall of the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonia with the magnificent St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra on the opening concert of the 24th International Musical Olympus Festival! St. Petersburg is truly one of the most beautiful cities, the food was fantastic – seriously delicious, and playing this Prokofiev concerto for the first time, this monumental piece of music that I love so much, in Russia – was an experience I will not ever forget. Thank you Maestra Yuwon Kim and all the musicians of St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra for such a wonderful collaboration, and I can’t thank Irina Nikitina and the Musical Olympus Foundation enough for inviting me and making this happen!
