Back in New York for September! It was quite an honor to perform for His Royal Highness, England’s Prince Edward, at a private event raising awareness for the The Duke of Edinburgh International Award. My first time performing for royalty! A few days later it was another honor to be introduced by Lang Lang and perform at a private concert at John Paulson’s spectacular residence in New York. The very special occasion was to kick off the 10th annual Lang Lang International Music Foundation Gala, happening a week later. The 10th Annual Gala itself was a particularly joyful event celebrating the remarkable achievements of Lang Lang’s Foundation. It was a blast to reunite with almost every Young Scholar that has come through the foundation over the past 10 years (including the five of us that graduated together in 2016), and always fun to connect with the enthusiastic supporters of Lang Lang’s musical mission.
