I had an amazing experience performing with violinists Julian Rachlin and Robert Lakatos on the Stars and Rising Stars festival in Munich! We performed works by Franck, Debussy, Moszkowski, and the world premiere of a fantastic new piece by Antoni Parera Fons.

“Subbing” for Lang Lang at Langham Place in NYC

It was great fun “subbing” for Lang Lang at a Langham Place New York All Star Celebration event honoring the chefs and cuisine from Langham’s Michelin starred restaurants. Since unfortunately Lang Lang had to cancel his scheduled concert due to the flu, I was invited to perform as replacement along with fellow Lang Lang Scholar alumnus Clayton Stephenson and CAMI guitarist Pablo Sainz Villegas.

This past December I enjoyed my third fantastic trip to Moscow! I performed with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in Tchaikovsky Hall for the Opening Concert of the 17th International Television Contest for Young Musicians, and at the Moscow State Art Gallery of A. Shilov. I also felt honored to be invited to a round table discussion with the great Andrey Maximov, broadcast on TVKultura.

This is a gigantic festival in Russia that involves thousands of child performers age 18 and under from all of the world, performing in venues all over Moscow almost every day for a month. My first performance was in the Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theatre!

I had an amazing adventure traveling to Moscow, Russia, for TV Kultura’s 16th International “Nutcracker” Competition for Young Musicians! This was my first time ever seeing Moscow (or being in Russia), and the sights were unbelievable –especially the Red Square. It was great fun performing in the television format of the competition.
