I just came home from a fantastic two week adventure in Africa with my grandparents and a group from the MBL (Marine Biological Laboratory)! No piano this time, but the music of amazing African culture, wildlife and more animals than I have ever seen in my life. I went to Kenya and Tanzania where I stayed in lodges or tents in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the Amboseli National Park, the Tarangire River Camp, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park.
I traveled a lot! We saw animals close up that I never dreamed of seeing: lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, black rhinos, wart hogs, buffalos, zebras, and so so many birds! We even saw the great wildebeest migration in progress. I witnessed a wildebeest being born and having to stand in ONE MINUTE or it would be abandoned by its own mother, left as bait for lions and other predators. Fortunately my baby wildebeest made it. You can imagine what that moment felt like!
I hope you enjoy the photos I took!
