I had a truly fantastic time performing with Lang Lang, Maestra JoAnn Falletta and the Hawaii Symphony to a sold out audience in the paradise of Hawaii! Everything about this experience was a thrill, and I couldn’t believe the friendliness of people everywhere. I also really enjoyed spending some time with former Hawaii Governor Cayetano and his amazing wife Vicky at the beyond delicious Chef Mavro restaurant after the concert. The hotel, right on the water, was like a magical oasis. What a blast to collaborate with fantastic musicians in such an amazing location! We also received some more fun reviews – I love hearing that people enjoyed themselves, and that something special can end up happening from an injury.  “If ever there was a two-headed person with three hands, that was what we in a sold-out audience saw and heard at tonight’s stunning Hawaii Symphony Orchestra concert with JoAnn Falletta, conductor. It was absolutely phenomenal! That was my reaction to tonight’s concert with Lang Lang and his 15-year-old protégé, Maxim Lando—their ensemble was so incredibly perfect and dynamics and rhythm perfectly in sync—I’ve never heard two people play with such precision and nuance.”
