A trip to Germany for the Kissinger KlavierOlymp

I just came back from Bad Kissingen in Germany, where I performed two concerts at the Kissinger KlavierOlymp and performed for a broadcast on Bavarian Radio. Luckily I am invited back to perform chamber music at the Kissinger Sommer Festival this summer, so I will have a chance to return!

Performing at Ravinia Festival and Millennium Park

This month I was lucky enough to perform twice with the Midwest Young Artists Orchestra –at Ravinia Festival and at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park as part of the The Grant Park Summer Classical Concert Series. The concerts were a part of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation’s Summer Music Summit.

Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival at Oxford University

This week was probably one of the most inspiring learning experiences for me in my life! I performed in three masterclasses for Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky, the legendary American pianist Byron Janis, and Asaf Zohar!

Masterclasses and Performances in Germany

I went to Munich, where I had the fantastic opportunity to attend Prof. Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy’s Masterclasses at the University of Music and Performing Arts, and Bonn, where I gave a short concert and visited the Beethoven House (where he was actually born)!

Another 16 Concerts at Oyster Bay Music Festival

I love this festival because I get to spend time acting crazy with some of my best friends, play great music and, of course, perform non-stop. I think I performed in a total of 16 concerts in 8 days, in unusual venues all over Oyster Bay, New York!

Forte Music Fest in Almaty, Kazakhstan!

This is an international classical music festival consisting of three nights of fantastic concerts held in the big Zhambyl Hall of the Kazakh State Philharmonic. Check out a great short documentary about the festival, where I appear for a few moments closer to the end.

Cleveland International Piano Competition

I was one of thirteen young pianists (age 12-16) invited to this competition. I was really happy to be one of the final six and to perform on WCVL 104.9 FM radio.

I’m Going To Oxford!

I have just been awarded an amazing opportunity to travel to England this summer to participate in the Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival. This means I will have the chance to observe and play in masterclasses for a long list of legendary pianists who are Faculty at this distinguished festival!

Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition

This has been my first year at the Juilliard Pre-College and I am feeling so incredibly lucky for this opportunity!!! On February 21st I will be performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A Minor with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra.

Playing Liszt for Lang Lang

Here is a video of my masterclass with Lang Lang. His comments made me feel great, but don’t laugh when you see me running around the stage (after I play) because I can’t remember where I put my music to show Lang Lang!

AICGS Global Leadership Award Dinner

In December I performed with two other Lang Lang Young Scholars for the AICGS Global Leadership Award Dinner honoring Michael Diekmann, CEO of Allianz. Senator Lieberman was a special guest speaker at the event!

Having the Time of my Life in Barcelona!

Through a partnership of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation and Allianz, 14 young pianists from all over the world (10 different countries) were selected to come together to make music: our passion!

Performing on the United Nations Day Concert

I performed with Lang Lang right after Sting! The stage was the General Assembly Hall of the U.N. –where some of the most important decisions in the world are made!

Playing 4-Hands with Lang Lang on WQXR

We had great fun performing Fazil Say’s jazzy arrangement of Mozart ‘s Rondo Alla Turca on the radio. I also played some solo Prokofiev and did a short interview with the host. I listen to WQXR almost every day of my life, so it felt really amazing being at the WQXR Greene Space for a live broadcast!

The Best Experience in Italy

I just spent two weeks at the most amazing music festival in Italy called Music Fest Perugia. One of the highlights was performing in a special “Prodigy Concert” with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante at the famed Basilica di San Pietro.

17 Concerts at Oyster Bay Music Festival 2014

This was the third OBMF, and it was better than ever. I made new friends and performed everywhere in Oyster Bay, Long Island –17 times in nine days.

I am a Lang Lang Young Scholar!

I was selected as one of the Lang Lang International Foundation’s five new Young Scholars representing the United States for the next few years.

Performing on NPR’s From The Top!

I had probably up to date the most incredible experience a few weeks ago! I was invited to perform on NPR’s From The Top, the most amazing classical music show on radio!
