Mendelssohn at 12 years old

I just had the best weekend! I turned 10 years old, I ate lunch at the most amazing French restaurant (best chocolate soufflé ever) and I played chamber music on the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players series in Manhattan. I played Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in C minor which he wrote when he was only eleven years old. Very few people even know this piece, but I really like the energy. I can’t believe I am so lucky to have the opportunity to play chamber music with these amazing musicians!

While I was walking around Manhattan after one of the rehearsals, I got to try this Chinese instrument! Unfortunately I am not sure what it is called.

This is me learning a new instrument!

Below are two videos from the concert. The first is Faure’s Impromptu No. 2 and the second is the Mendelssohn Trio in C Minor.
