1-seconds-before-falling-into-the-pond

Seconds before falling into the pond

We arrived at Oyster Bay at about 9:30am. My friends and I started to explore the place. As soon as we stepped inside our host’s backyard, we noticed a beautiful but very dirty pond. We were taking goofy pictures by the pond when I got a little carried away, tripped and fell in it!!! Luckily our host dried my clothes and lent me some new ones (adult size – I looked a bit silly)!

2-kazoo-rehearsal

Kazoo rehearsal

We started the daily routine with a nice masterclass and after that a lively game of air hockey. By 11:00 we walked over to Not Just Art were we played our first concert and then had fun playing with art blocks. After Not Just Art we took a break and ate lunch and soon it was time for another master class! Finally we had our evening concert at Christ Church where we theatrically announced that CLASSICAL MUSIC HAS DIED!!!!! Right away we all carried kazoos down the rows and played Chopin’s famous funeral march “pray for the dead and the dead will pray for you”.

We were joking of course. We spent the rest of the concert showing the audience just how alive classical music really is! The theme of the concert was “French Night”, so almost all of the music was by French composers. I played Chopin, who grew up in Poland but lived most of his adult life in Paris. At the end of the concert we all played the French National Anthem on kazoos. After the evening concert we played more air hockey and we finally we went home tired but happy!!!!
