Screen Shot 2014-11-25 at 10.24.57 PMI performed four-hands with Lang Lang again, this time at the United Nations for the United Nations Day Concert. This was really something special! The program was a fantastic concert for world peace. Lang Lang is the United Nations Messenger of Peace –something I really admire! The program featured representatives of the U.N. and then a concert with Lang Lang, Sting, Alec Baldwin as host, the five U.S. Young Scholars, and an orchestra made up of high school musicians from all over the world.

I performed on stage right after Sting! And the stage? The stage was the General Assembly Hall of the U.N. –where some of the most important decisions in the world are made!

For part of the time, the other four Young Scholars and I were brought to a very special room. I can’t remember the room’s name, but we were told that it is the room where presidents, kings, and queens have waited and gathered. While we waited in the room, we were told many stories about the U.N.! The concert was so much fun, and the day ended with a fantastic dinner in the Delegates Dining Room.
