Maxim-Lando-in-PerugiaI just spent two weeks at the most amazing music festival in Italy called Music Fest Perugia. During the festival I performed in masterclasses for Ilana Vered, John Perry and Antonio Pompa-Baldi. Each of the masterclasses were fantastic and I learned so much! I also had private lessons with so many wonderful musicians, enjoyed many concerts, and performed at the beautiful Consiglio Hall in Perugia.

I think the highlight of the festival for me was performing in a special “Prodigy Concert” with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante under conductor Mihnea Ignat at the famed Basilica di San Pietro. The great conductor Karajan praised this venue as having one of the best acoustics in all of Europe!

Perugia was so beautiful and everything about the festival was so much fun. After one concert there was a perfect double rainbow in the sky. I couldn’t believe it. I have never seen anything so beautiful! Perugia had a million steps and hills and I loved them all. I had such a great time with my friends and made many new friends. I hope, hope, hope, hope I will have an opportunity to go back next summer! My photos from the trip will be posted very soon. For now you can watch a video of one of my performances below.
